Need help with the app? This page explains what DCR Loans is, how it works, how to reach us, and how to manage your account and data. If you cannot find an answer below, contact us at help@dcrloans.com.

What DCR Loans is

DCR Loans is a comparison and matching service. It is not a lender. We do not issue loans, make lending decisions, determine eligibility, set rates, or transfer funds. We connect you with an independent third-party provider who makes all of those decisions and who discloses the actual terms of any offer to you before you agree to anything.

When you use the app, you can compare available installment and cash advance options surfaced from our third-party provider network, and you can use our money-habits tools to set savings challenges, track goals, and follow your progress over time.

In plain terms: DCR Loans helps you see options and build better money habits. The independent provider decides whether to make you an offer, what that offer costs, and whether to fund it. Any loan agreement is strictly between you and the provider, not DCR Loans.

We do not promise approval. We do not promise any rate, amount, or term. A provider may perform a credit check as part of its own review.

How it works

  1. Sign in with your phone number and a one-time passcode (OTP).
  2. Tell us about your situation in the app. To prepare an application you may enter details such as your name, contact information, employment and income information, and the identity and bank account information a provider needs to evaluate a request.
  3. You review the options surfaced in the app.
  4. When you choose to proceed, we share your information with the independent provider you select, only as needed to facilitate the request you started. That provider, not DCR Loans, sets and discloses the actual annual percentage rate (APR), fees, repayment schedule, payment amount, and payment due date.
  5. You continue directly with that provider and review the provider's own agreement and disclosures before signing. The loan agreement is between you and the provider.

Across the options surfaced in the app, representative APR ranges from 5.99% to 35.99% (maximum 35.99%). Repayment terms range from 65 days to 24 months. Amounts range from $100 to $5,000. For illustration only: a $1,000 amount at 20.99% APR over 12 months is approximately $93.11 per month, about $1,117.32 in total. These are representative ranges only. Your actual rate, amount, term, and fees depend on the provider, your application, your creditworthiness, and your state of residence, and are disclosed to you by the provider before you agree.

Frequently asked questions

How does matching work?

You provide your information in the app. We show you options, and when you choose to proceed, we pass your information to the independent provider you select so that provider can decide whether to present an offer. We do not score you, approve you, or decide your terms. We simply connect you with the provider and show you what the provider returns.

Is DCR Loans a lender?

No. DCR Loans is a comparison and matching service only. We do not issue loans, make lending decisions, determine eligibility, set rates, or transfer funds. All lending decisions and all funding are handled by the independent third-party provider.

Is my information shared beyond the provider I choose?

No. We do not share your information with marketers for their independent commercial use. When you choose to proceed, we share your information only with the single provider you select to facilitate the request you started, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may receive a referral fee from that provider for the connection service, not for providing your data to third parties for their independent use.

What does DCR Loans charge me?

DCR Loans does not charge you any fee to use the app, to compare options, or to view offers. Any interest, fees, or charges associated with a loan are set and disclosed by the provider you choose, not by DCR Loans.

Who discloses the APR and loan terms?

The provider does. Under the federal Truth in Lending Act and Regulation Z, the actual APR, fees, payment amount, repayment schedule, and payment due date are disclosed to you by the provider before you enter into any agreement. DCR Loans does not set these terms. The representative ranges shown in the app are illustrative only and are not an offer.

Will I be approved?

No. Approval is not assured. Offers are subject to the provider's eligibility criteria and review. A provider may decline to make an offer, and a provider may perform a credit check as part of its review.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Eligibility is determined by the independent provider, not by DCR Loans. To use the app you generally need to be a US resident of legal age in your state and be able to verify a phone number. The provider sets the final requirements for any offer.

Which states is DCR Loans available in?

Availability varies by state because provider participation and state law differ. Availability varies by state. If your state is not covered, you may not be matched with offers.

Who are the providers, and are they licensed?

Offers are provided by an independent third-party provider in our network. The provider is responsible for its own licensing and for complying with the laws of the states in which it operates, and discloses its licensing as part of its own terms. DCR Loans is not a party to any loan and is not responsible for a provider's decisions, terms, or conduct.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can delete your account directly in the app:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings or your Account screen.
  2. Select Delete Account.
  3. Confirm the request.

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the personal information we hold about you, except for information we are required to keep to meet legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, recordkeeping, or dispute resolution obligations. Information that you already submitted to a provider is controlled by that provider and subject to that provider's own privacy policy and retention practices; you may need to contact the provider directly to request deletion of records it holds. If you cannot access the in-app option, email help@dcrloans.com and we will help you complete the deletion.

How do I manage notifications?

Push notifications: turn them off in your device settings, or adjust preferences in the app's Settings.
Email and SMS: opt out using the unsubscribe or STOP instructions in those messages, or by emailing help@dcrloans.com.

What information does the app collect, and who is it shared with?

We collect information you provide (such as name, contact information, employment and income information, and the identity and bank account information needed to apply) and device and usage analytics. When you choose to proceed, we share your information with the independent provider you select so that provider can evaluate and present an offer, and with analytics and service vendors that help us operate the app. For full details, see our Privacy Policy at https://dcrloans.com/privacy/.

What are my privacy rights?

Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to limit certain sharing as defined by applicable state privacy law, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, use the in-app Delete Account option, follow the instructions in our Privacy Policy at https://dcrloans.com/privacy/, or contact privacy@dcrloans.com.

How do I report a problem with a provider or a loan?

DCR Loans is not a party to any loan and cannot change or cancel a provider's offer or agreement. For issues with a specific loan or provider, contact the provider directly using the contact details in the provider's disclosures. You may also tell us at help@dcrloans.com so we can review the provider's participation in our network.
